Journal Entry   Back TETLIN: Landcover Mapping Project Underway Alaska Region, June 1, 2005 Print Friendly Version Tetlin Refuge recently completed the field work portion for a landcover mapping project. This project is in cooperation with Duck's Unlimited and is a continuation of a statewide landcover mapping effort. As a result of this project, Tetlin Refuge and surrounding lands will contribute to the inventory of Alaska's land base which can be used for regional management of land and wildlife resources. The purpose of the field work was to verify on-the-ground vegetation with data acquired from Landsat TM satellite imagery.
