Journal Entry   Back First Meeting of Grand Canyon Working Group Southwest Region, July 14, 2005 Print Friendly Version The first meeting of the Grand Canyon Working Group, a working group of the National Parks Overflights Advisory Group, occurred on July 13-14, 2005, in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Arizona Ecological Services Office is an official member of this work group which was formed to provide advice and recommendations regarding the implementation of the National Parks Overflights Act of 1987. The group will meet regularly through March 2008. The Overflights Act mandates restoration of substantial quiet in Grand Canyon National Park by April 22, 2008.
