Journal Entry   Back Wallkill River NWR hosts Land Conservation Press Conference Northeast Region, June 15, 2005 Print Friendly Version Wallkill River NWR biologist Kevin Holcomb coordinated with a series of partners to host a press conference for New Jersey press outlets about the opportunitiy for publc-private partnerships within the state. The prgram focused on the Service's Partners for Fish and Widlife Program. Other participants included New Jersey Audubon Society, the state's green acres program and NRCS. The event also included a demonstration of a grass drill. Particiapnts included Fedeal and state agencies, farmers, local officials and media outlets, including two statewide media organizations. The event resulted in a newpaper articles and TV time, some of which focused on the refuge.
