Although the day was hot in northern New Hampshire, the crew accomplished what they set out to do. They replaced old decking on the rail-trail trestle with new decking, which will make crossing much safer, replaced damaged signs on the Cohos Trail and, in the afternoon, removed blowdowns and brushed out the trail from Route 115 at Owlshead to the rail trail.

Thanks to their efforts, refuge trails will accommodate summer visitors more safely.
