Journal Entry   Back Career Day at Los Lunas Middle School Southwest Region, May 5, 2005 Print Friendly Version On May 5, 2005, NMESFO staff participated in career day at Los Lunas Middle School. Staff discussed the Service's mission along with New Mexico's threatened and endangered species and recovery programs. The program also entailed a 20 minute slide show, given to 10 different classes. Over 300 students learned about the educational requirements, salary, and job responsibilities of an endangered species biologist. Students were also given the opportunity to touch and ask questions about skulls, skins and feathers.
