KENAI: Refuge Officers Make Arrest in Kenai Marijuana Case
Alaska Region, May 22, 2005
Print Friendly Version
Kenai National Wildlife Refuge officers arrested an Anchorage man on May 22 after he returned to an area of the Refuge where he had apparently planted and tended 15 marijuana plants. The plants were discovered by Refuge fire staff on May 20 and the area had been staked out until the arrest was made two days later. Four Refuge officers and the Refuge K-9 "Samson" were involved in making the arrest. The plants and vehicle were seized and the man was taken to Wildwood Correctional Facility where he was charged with a Class C Felony.
