Aravaipa Ecosystem Management Plan Wildlife Workgroup Meeting
Southwest Region, April 12, 2005
Print Friendly Version
AZ ES staff attended the 2nd meeting for the Aravaipa EM Plan wildlife workgroup. This meeting continued the discussion and development of wildlife management actions that may be considered in the development of the Aravaipa EM Plan and alternatives. The workgroup finished identifying most of the management actions that would be considered. The next step is that the leaders of all the workgroups (including travel management, recreation, etc.) will meet to coordinate the results of all the workgroups, and decide if further involvement of the workgroup members is necessary. BLM informed this workgroup that they are ahead in the process schedule because of the complete and active involvement of the participants. AZ ES will continue to be involved in the workgroup process, which will likely result in the consultation process for the plan to proceed more quickly and efficiently.
