Mexican Grey Wolf Presentation at Walatowa Earth Day 2005, Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico

On April 21, 2005, the Middle Rio Grande Coordinator represented the Service at the Walatowa Earth Day 2005, an event sponsored by the Pueblo of Jemez, Department of Resource Protection. The Earth Day Celebration was held at the Walatowa Youth Center on Jemez Pueblo lands. Service staff presented a hands-on exhibit of the Mexican Grey Wolf and provided information on Service activities. Approximately 100 kindergarten, 4th and 5th graders, high school students, and teachers from Jemez Pueblo schools participated in the event as well as approximately 40 Pueblo elders and members of the Pueblo Department of Resource Protection.
