In total, more than 1,500 people attended the event. Many partners, including the state, county and local conservation groups and agencies, were also in attendance. Earthfest provided a good opportunity to increase and enhance the refuge's contacts with the local community. The refuge hosted a booth with a display about the activities at the refuge, a touch table and informational materials.
