Florida Panther Poster Contest

More than 5,000 Collier County students entered a poster contest to help save the Florida panther. The poster contest was a joint partnership between the Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Florida Panther NWR, Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge and other groups. The theme of the contest was ?if you save panthers, you save all the species that live with panthers?. Grand prize winners were chosen from high school, middle school and elementary school levels. The posters have been displayed at the Florida Senate, Disney and will be on display at the DOI building from April 27 to May 8, 2005.
