Native Plant Society Visits Kootenai NWR Two Ways in One Day

The Kinnikinnick Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society in Sandpoint, Idaho invited Refuge Manager, Dianna Ellis to speak at their March chapter meeting. Ellis presented ?An Overview of the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge? to 60 interested members and guests. The PowerPoint presentation highlighted the National Wildlife Refuge System, ?why Duck Stamps??, and Kootenai NWR's background, highlights, and partnership opportunities.

A mission of the Native Plant Society is to foster an understanding and appreciation of native flora and its habitats in the panhandle area of North Idaho, after the presentation in Sandpoint some folks spent the afternoon watching waterfowl at the refuge.
