Alaska Region, February 5, 2005 Print Friendly Version Festival goers to the annual Winterfest in Naknek, Alaska were treated to a beautiful display on migratory birds, free posters, and information on the Alaska Peninsula and Becharof National Wildlife Refuges. The display featured the artwork of Charley Harper, titled "Mystery of the Missing Migrants." This display complemented the recent presentations for the Migratory Bird Calendar contest and Junior Duck Stamp contest. The artwork and information also provided the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service another oportunity to communicate the message of conservation through art.
