Journal Entry   Back SERVICE BOOTH AT SPORT SHOW ATTRACTS PARENTS AND KIDS Mountain-Prairie Region, February 6, 2005 Print Friendly Version Visitors to the Service booth at the annual Bismarck (N.D.)Tribune Sport Show, Feb. 4-6, discussed a variety of issues including the upcoming special light goose hunting season, mountain lion sightings, endangered species, baiting and waterfowl hunting, and the Missouri River. The booth theme this year was ?Habitat-Homes for Wildlife.? More than 150 youngsters stopped at the booth to participate in a habitat activity, in which they colored paper critter cut-outs, and then taped their finished product in the correct habitat (?Sorry, sonny. That paddlefish doesn?t swim in a temporary wetland.?) on a portable display shaped like the state of North Dakota. Organizers estimate some 12,000 people attended the show.
