Journal Entry   Back TETLIN: Leopards and Tigers and Bears, Oh My! Alaska Region, October 16, 2004 Print Friendly Version In celebration of National Wildlife Refuge Week, Tetlin Refuge held it's first annual International Wildlife Film Festival on Saturday, October 16th at the Tok Mainstreet Visitor Center, "Leopards and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!" The following films were featured: ?Grizzly Country? - the life and times of Alaska's grizzlies (SurvivalAnglia); ?Tigers of the Snow? - follow American and Russian biologists in their research to protect the Siberian Tiger (National Geographic); ?Mountains of the Snow Leopard? - biologists work with local Mongolian herdsmen to understand the elusive Snow Leopard (SurvivalAnglia.) Almost 30 people braved the cold and dark to watch these excellent films. A local high school group provided decadent goodies as a fundraiser. Everyone who attended also received a free wildlife poster. Interest in a once-a-month film night was expressed by numerous attendees.
