FWS Judge at International Science Fair
Pacific Region, May 15, 2004
Print Friendly Version
The world's largest high school science fair came to Portland May 9-15, 2004. Over 1,600 outstanding students came to Portland from 40 countries with projects in categories ranging from zoology and environmental sciences to computer science and physics. Marguerite Hills, Pacific Region Refuge Program Specialist, served as a Grand Awards Judge for Zoology, evaluating and interviewing students about their work on fish and wildlife. She also had the opportunity to introduce the students, our future scientists, to the Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Wildlife Refuge System. The annual Intel International Science Fair is hosted by a different city each year, and they invite the US Fish and Wildlife Service participate by providing judges.
