Southwest Region, October 5, 2004
Print Friendly Version
Refuge Manager Darrin Unruh gave a presentation on eagles to 63 Morris Elementary students on October 01, 2004. Morris classes were later set up for an outdoor education class at the refuge. Refuge staff held the outdoor education program for Morris Elementary students on October 05, 2004 at the refuge Cussetah Bottoms Boardwalk Trail. A total of about 75 students and 8 teachers from Morris, Oklahoma were available for the educational program. All the students involved with the program were from the fourth grade classes. The students were split into four groups and spent 30 minutes at each group learning about the refuge and working on different activities. ORP Emily Hile (Salt Plains NWR) assisted Deep Fork Staff in the daylong event.
