Journal Entry   Back Hatchery Stocks Local Waterways Southwest Region, October 8, 2004 Print Friendly Version The Tishomingo National Fish Hatchery stocked Pennington Creek Park in Tishomingo with catfish, smallmouth bass, and sunfish, giving local citizens an excellent opportunity to catch additional, and larger fish than are normally available in the creek. About 800 pounds, approximately 120 fish were stocked into the creek, to the delight of lucky local anglers. The catfish and bass released were older broodstock that have been used at the hatchery for several years and are being replaced with younger broodstock.
