The Dingle prescribed burn (350 acres) was completed April 13 at Bear Lake NWR; at Oxford Slough Waterfowl Production Area the 67 acre Oxford Marsh burn was completed April 7.

Both prescribed burns were in bulrush marsh habitat. The resource objectives for the burns were to reduce hazardous fuels accumulations and improve waterfowl/marsh bird habitat.

The prescribed burns were conducted by the SE Idaho NWRC fire staff with assistance from local US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Indian Affairs fire crews.
