Alaska Region, October 11, 2004
Print Friendly Version
Dr. John Morton, the Supervisory Fish and Wildlife Biologist for Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, was recently appointed to an Affiliate Professor of Biology position at the University of Alaska - Fairbanks. This affiliation with the Department of Biology and Wildlife - College of Natural Science and Mathematics, is an unpaid position that benefits both the Refuge and the University. Dr. Morton currently is directing the work of one Ph.D student at the University working on long-term environmental modeling for the Refuge, and is also developing a series of partnership proposals that could add additional students and projects to the Refuge biological program in the future.
