Serio did half of her spots from within the Cusano Environmental Education Center, a very "visual" place with exhibits and sustainable design features. She did the second half from an observation deck overlooking a constructed pond and wildlife viewing area planted with over a dozen types of native plants.

Refuge staff member Bill Thomas said that after the morning's live broadcast, several persons called asking for directions and other information on the refuge.
