Interior Alaska Willow Guide Available

Available upon request is a new 111-page field guide ?Willows of Interior Alaska? by author and illustrator Dominique Collet. This guide contains summer and winter identification keys and 50 color-illustrated plates that highlight recognition features for each species. The area of coverage includes: Arctic, Innoko, Kanuti, Koyukuk, Nowitna, Tetlin, and Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuges; Yukon Charley Rivers National Preserve; and Denali National Park. The guide was written for field biologists, land managers, plant lovers, and anyone interested in the diversity of nature. Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge provided funding and logistical support for development of the guide. The following partners provided funding to cover printing costs: U.S. Army, Bonanza Creek Long Term Ecological Research Station - University of Alaska Fairbanks, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, and the following U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service offices: Arctic, Kanuti, Koyukuk/Nowitna National Wildlife Refuges and the Fairbanks Fish and Wildlife Field Office.
