For the second time, the environmental education program at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum led by Erika Scarborough was accepted as an ACT 48 provider in April. The program, monitored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, allows teachers to accrue and track professional development for their re-certification. The refuge prepared a three-year plan to obtain the approval.
