HOW CAN THE CONSTITUENT RELATIONS/OMBUDSMAN HELP?
Federal Customers:
- Facilitates meetings and negotiates workable solutions;
- Serves as FPI’s decision-making authority in the resolution of waiver appeals;
- Recommends policy/procedural changes in an effort to improve customer service and value.
- Reviews FPI management decisions to ensure they impact fairly on private industry
- Hosts/facilitates independent brainstorming sessions to seek “out of the box” solutions;
- Organizes/coordinates dialogue with industry and FPI regarding matters of mutual import.
- Identifies the credible issues and puts them on the table for debate, the Board’s consideration, and consensus resolution.
Other Entities:
- Facilitates access to FPI decision-makers;
- Formulates issues in their most representative light and facilitates their resolution.
WHO IS THE FPI CONSTITUENT RELATIONS/OMBUDSMAN?
~ Jan I. Hynson is the second FPI Constituent Relations/Ombudsman to serve;~ Entered government service in 1990; has served as FPI’s Constituent Relations/Ombudsman since 1994.
~ Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from L’Academie Royale des Beaux-Arts et L’Institute Superieur D’Architecture, Belgium;
~ Private sector career of 25 years in public relations, business development, marketing, customer services. Held Assistant Vice President positions for a major investment firm and bank.
