US Business Leadership Network Announces 2009 Board of Directors; New Board
includes Representatives from Hewlett-Packard, Manpower, Qualcomm, and
Sams Club
WASHINGTON, DC (February 23, 2009) The US Business Leadership Network
(USBLN®) today announced that it has named its Board of Directors for
2009-2010. New representation on the USBLN® Board of Directors includes
Martha Artiles, Chief Diversity Officer for Manpower Inc, Michelle
Maybaum, Director, Employee Relations for Qualcomm, Inc., Michael
Takemura, Director of Hewlett-Packards Accessibility & Aging
Program Office, and Scott Williams, Vice President of E-Commerce for

US Business Leadership Network Among 22 Non-Profit Organizations CyberAlert
Awards Annual PR Grants
WASHINGTON, DC (January 27, 2009) The US Business Leadership Network
(USBLN®) today announced that it was among 22 non-profit organizations
to receive the 2009 Public Relations (PR) Grants awarded by

Newly Revised Business Case on Disability Employment
Several months ago, Assistant Secretary Neil Romano designated an ODEP team
to work with our EARN staff to update and enhance the disability business
case. It was officially announced by Mr. Romano and is now live on the EARN
website.
The ODEP/EARN Business Case presents a business-to-business dialogue
addressing the value of employing people with disabilities through the use
of videos and research. The six areas covered in the Business Case are: Return
on Investment, Human Capital, Innovation, Marketing, Diversity, and Social
Responsibility. Links to supporting data and related resources (federal,
state, local, and veteran) are incorporated into the Business Case website
which can be found at

(April 16, 2008) - Local Businesses Form a Network Focused on Disabilities
to get a Competitive Edge
To help businesses tap into this underutilized talent pool, 10 business
representatives from Binghamton, Syracuse, Ithaca, Rochester and Buffalo
as well as staff from Cornell and the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce,
met at the ILR Conference Center on April 2 to inaugurate the Business Leadership
Network (BLN) of CNY. This new chapter of the U.S. Business Leadership Network
is co-chaired by Lynette Chappell-Williams, director of Cornell's Office
of Workforce Diversity, Equity and Life Quality and Tony Ruiz-Quintanilla,
director of the Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC)
of Cornell's Employment and Disability Institute in the ILR School.
