ADB Releases 2008 Annual Report Ahead of Bali
Meeting
The Asian Development Bank's 2008 Annual Report has been released
ahead of the bank's 42nd annual meeting scheduled for May 2-5 in
Bali, Indonesia. The report states that the bank's 2008
lending, which reached $10.5 billion, is the bank's highest in
its 42 year history, and is higher than its 2007 lending by
5.3%. India was the largest borrower with $2.9 billion in
loans. The bank also provided technical assistance to its
borrower countries equaling $274.5 million. Read the

May 2009 Monthly Alerts Released
The International Market Insights (IMIs) report has 25 newly
approved loan projects and technical assistance programs
published by ADB online - amounting to $ 363 million-worth of
opportunities.
Additionally, the Foreign Government Tenders (FGTs) report
comprises 94 procurement alerts, coming from the following
sectors: agriculture and natural resources, education, energy,
environment, health, transportation and communications,
industry and finance as well as urban development.

New ADB's Consultant Management System (CMS) Launched Online
The ADB consultants registration system has been revised into a new and integrated system called Consultant Management System (CMS) for both consulting firms and individuals. The system is the repository of consultants’ records. This new CMS system is easier to use, provides options for simplified or full registration, and allows updates in real time. Read more.
