EDPubs is a database of U.S. Department of Education publications and products. Using ED Pubs, you may search and order publications of interest.

ERIC is the world's largest digital bibliographic database of education literature. It contains records (citations, abstracts, etc.) for over 1.2 million items indexed since 1966, including more than 650 journal indices.

The Employment and Training Administration (ETA), part of the U.S. Department of Labor, seeks to build up the labor market through training of the workforce and the placement of workers in jobs through employment services. It provides assistance to adults, youth, dislocated workers, workforce development professionals and employers.

National Centers for Career and Technical Education (NCCTE). Sponsored by ED's Office of Vocational and Adult Education, the National Dissemination Center for Career/Technical Education and the National Research Center for Career and Technical Education provide national-level research, dissemination, and professional development activities for secondary and postsecondary CTE education practitioners and institutions.

Institute of Education Sciences (IES). This ED office provides national leadership for educational research and statistics. IES strives to promote excellence and equity in American education by conducting research and demonstration projects to improve education; collecting statistics on the status and progress of schools and education; and distributing information and providing technical assistance to those working to improve education.

Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE). This ED office administers the funds distributed to states by the Carl D. Perkins Career/Technical Education Improvement Act to support CTE programs. OVAE also supports a number of research, development, demonstration, and training programs for the improvement of career/technical education.

National Assessment of Vocational Education (NAVE). The 2004 NAVE was the congressionally-mandated evaluation of the 1998 Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act. Easy access to the major NAVE reports can be found at this web site.

National Longitudinal Transition Study 2 (NLS2). Sponsored by ED's Institute of Education Sciences (IES), the NLTS2 is a longitudinal study of 12,000 disabled youth who were ages 13 through 16 at the start of the study (2000). Information will be collected over 10 years from parents, youth, and schools, and will provide a national picture of the experiences and achievements of disabled young people as they transition into early adulthood. The study will collect students' high school transcripts, allowing for an examination of the participation of disabled high school students in CTE.
