Dr. Marie Lynn Miranda is the Principal Investigator for the Duke Children’s Center and an associate research professor in Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences. Dr. Miranda describes the methodology being used for the study and outlines how the use of birth record data combined with census data could potentially be used to prevent childhood illness even before birth.
