Standards for Using ERIC Graphics

ERIC provides branded graphics to be used with Web sites, databases, presentations, and promotional materials that reference and/or link to ERIC. These graphics include the ERIC logo and branded images that can be used in association with a link to the ERIC Web site

ERIC graphics and branding are limited to appropriate use (as specified in the Standards for Using ERIC Graphics found in the .zip file) and may not be used in a manner that is misleading, or to imply endorsement of a product, service, organization, publication, or policy.

The ERIC Logo

The elements of the ERIC logo include the word "ERIC" with the "I" dotted by a globe, and the full spelling of the program name. The logo exists in two forms: the official logo with the full program name placed beneath the "ERIC" acronym and a banner version with the program name extending across the same line as "ERIC." The ERIC Web site uses the banner version of the ERIC logo.

In general, the following are non-conforming and considered inappropriate:

  • Changes to the logo, including, but not limited to, the use of different fonts; the addition of words, names, or visual marks; and/or the rearrangement of its elements
  • The use of colors other than those stipulated for specific graphics
  • Scaling or resizing in a manner that causes the image to become distorted
  • Resizing of buttons and promotional graphics
  • Linking ERIC buttons to non-ERIC materials or Web sites
