Compton Tucker

Position: Senior Staff Scientist

Responsibilities: Compton Tucker has been assigned to the Climate Change Science Program Office (CCSPO) by NASA Headquarters. Tucker will spend 80% of his time at CCSPO in fiscal year 2006. His specific responsibilities include co-chairing the CCSPO Interagency Observations Working Group, providing support to the CCSPO Interagency Working Group on Land Use and Land Cover Change, and participating in the CCSPO Interagency Working Groups on (1) the Carbon Cycle and (2) Ecosystems. These four areas are areas where Tucker has extensive research experience and has published scientific papers in the referred literature. Other duties and responsibilities include reviewing CCSPO documents such as Our Changing Planet, supporting development of selected Synthesis and Assessment Reports, and assisting as requested in any other CCSPO activities.
