Position title: Program Specialist (University Corporation for Atmospheric Research - UCAR)
Responsibilities: Tanya Maslak is the program specialist for the Human Contributions and
Responses and Global Water Cycle Interagency Working Groups. In this role, she will coordinate working group members and meetings, as well as provide additional forms of support. Tanya will also contribute to and assist with CCSP's Decision Support efforts, which provide timely and useful information to policymakers, resource managers, and other
stakeholders.
Tanya holds a B.S. in Environmental and Forestry Biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (Syracuse, NY) and an M.P.H. in Environmental Health from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN). She came to Washington, DC to pursue a post-graduate fellowship at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where she worked on a variety of risk communication, stakeholder involvement, and community-based environmental health projects. Prior to joining CCSPO, Tanya served as the Director of Environmental Health Promotion at the Society for Public Health Education.
