St. Joseph

Trails West is one of the largest event in Northwest Missouri; rated in the top three by the Missouri Arts Council. The festivities include three days of fine art, folk art, dramatic stage performances, reenactments, musical entertainment and food for the whole family. Come experience St Joseph's unique cultural heritage and art works from across the Midwest. Held in Civic Center Park.

Excelsior Springs

Missouri wines and food products are featured at this annual event. Artisans and crafters selling their products. Attend wine seminars, food demonstrations and wine and food sampling.

The sounds of Bluegrass music fill the back lawn for the entire event. Fireworks take place at the conclusion of the festival to celebrate the July 4th holiday. Visit the website for details and a schedule. Held at the Elms Resort and Spa.

Independence

This event celebrates the starting points of the Santa Fe Trail, the California Trail and the Oregon Trail. This long established festival will celebrate its 37th year over Labor Day weekend. Enjoy live Nashvile musical entertainment, unique festival foods, carnival rides. We will have eight expansive Market Vendor tents, housing quality wares from more than 250 vendors. Held on Historic Independence Square. Free admission.

Lamar

Celebrate Harry S Truman’s 125th birthday along with the 50th anniversary of his birthplace being designated as a state historic site. The day includes bingo, children’s games, a Harry and Bess look-a-like contest, a Harry S Truman impersonator and a big-band performance. The staff will be dressed in period costume. Birthday cake will be served. There will be a special presentation at the historic site, as well as several activities throughout the day, including a parade.

Arrow Rock

A treat for all your senses. Enjoy the sights, scents and sounds at the garden show, where you'll find beautiful plants, decorative statuary and container gardens.
