EXPORT COUNSELING ASSISTANCE

Export Counseling is an important service offered by the U.S. Commercial Service in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin to companies that are exploring international markets. The ability to pick up the phone and call one of the experienced Trade Specialists at one of our offices is an extremely valuable resource. On a daily basis, Trade Specialists work with companies and individuals who are both seasoned exporters who are expanding their international presence and those who are working through the export process for the very first time. The U.S. Commercial Service's mission is to "support U.S. commercial interests in the United States and help companies increase sales and market share around the world."

ADVOCACY ASSISTANCE

Exporting today means more than just selling a good or a product at a competitive price. It also means dealing with foreign governments and complex regulations. That's where we step in. The U.S. Commercial Service works closely with its colleagues overseas and in Washington, D.C. to ensure that sales of U.S. products and services have the best possible chance abroad. The Advocacy Center at the U.S. Department of Commerce puts the resources and authority of the U.S. government behind your team to help resolve problems like tenders tied up in bureaucratic red tape, unfair treatment by foreign government decision-makers, or overcoming a politicized procurement processes. Contact your local trade specialist to discuss how you can put the power of the U.S. Government to work for you: http://www.export.gov/advocacy/index.html
