The Illinois Global Partnership (IGP) is the private/public enterprise dedicated to building the State of Illinois as a dynamic center for global business. In this fast-growing and ever-changing global marketplace, the IGP helps ensure competitive advantage for the state's already vibrant economy.

In 2005, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich signed legislation entrusting the IGP with advancing international economic development, trade, investment, tourism, and agriculture in the state. To that end, we're providing leadership, expertise, and resources - all to encourage international business development for Illinois companies.

Initially, we are working closely with the Illinois Department of Agriculture to ensure global competitive advantage for Illinois agriculture. We are a dedicated sales team for Illinois' world-class array of agricultural products and services - from commodities, livestock, genetics and food products, to harvesting, food processing and packaging equipment. What's more, we're promoting Illinois as an international technology center in bioscience and the rapidly developing biofuels markets.

Our goal is straightforward and substantial: to establish Illinois agriculture as a global brand - a hallmark that the world recognizes, from the dinner table to the gas tank.
