(WASHINGTON) – Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Stephen L. Johnson, and Florida Governor Jeb Bush (invited) will attend a cooperative conservation “listening session” in Orlando, Florida, on Monday, Sept. 25, 2006. The session will take place at the Orange County Convention Center at 3 p.m., preceded by a media availability at 2:45 p.m.
The “listening session” is one in a series of public meetings across the country to solicit and exchange ideas on incentives, partnership programs, and regulations that can improve results and promote cooperative conservation and environmental partnerships. In addition to Interior and EPA, the Agriculture Department, the Commerce Department and the White House Council on Environmental Quality are sponsoring the sessions.
