The United States Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Michigan is comprised of a seasoned and highly motivated group of lawyers, professionals and support staff. Our responsibilities include the prosecution of criminal cases brought by the Federal government, and the litigation and defense of civil cases in which the U.S. is a party. We also carry out the important role of liaison with law enforcement agencies and community organizations on various crime reduction programs throughout our district. Our office's jurisdiction is made up of 34 counties in the eastern half of Michigan's lower peninsula.
