PublicationDate: 11/20/98 Summary: Tip of the Week: FISAP Edit Compare Report & Perkins Field Author: CPS - Central Processing System (CPS) Posted November 20, 1998 To: All Destination Points From: U.S. Department of Education Re: Tip of the Week: FISAP Edit Compare Report & Perkins Field This week's tip highlights a feature or process in the FISAP for Windows software: Resolving Perkins field on Edit Compare Report Starting November 11, the FISAP processor sent edit files (message class FISA00OP) to the Title IV WAN mailboxes of those institutions submitting FISAP data. These files need to be drawn down using EDConnect and imported into your FISAP for Windows Version 1.0 software. If the Perkins Cohort Default Rate field appears on the Import Edit Compare Report, simply open page 4 of the Perkins section and save the data. The software will recalculate and save the correct Cohort Default Rate value. Questions regarding the FISAP data should be directed to the FISAP Processor at 1-301-565-0032. Questions on the FISAP edits and whether they necessitate a resubmission of your FISAP data should be referred to the Financial Management Specialist for your region.
