PublicationDate: 5/14/97 Summary: New Federal Work-Study Guide Author: OPE - Office of the Assistant Secretary for OPE Dear Colleagues: We are pleased to announce that our new guide, "Expanding Federal Work-Study and Community Service Opportunities," is available for you to access on the Office of Postsecondary Education WWW homepage. The guide discusses basic requirements and ideas for administering Federal Work-Study (FWS) and community service programs, as well as reading tutor programs. A resource section at the end includes descriptions of exemplary programs at 20 postsecondary institutions. We expect to mail printed copies to campus-based institutions beginning the week of May 19, 1997.
