RE: Printing issues in 1998-99 EDExpress.

CPS Customer Service has received several inquiries regarding problems printing in the
1998-99 EDExpress software. These problems fall into two categories:

-Printer Drivers-

CPS rewrote the print function for the 98-99 software so users can now use the printer
driver that corresponds to their printer type. For example, if you have an HP LaserJet 5si
printer, you should now use the HP LaserJet 5si printer driver.

We used a different approach from the 1997-98 software in order to simplify printing set
up and improve results. This new print logic will remain the same for the 99-00 year.

The 98-99 EDExpress software was tested using the HP LaserJet IIIsi, 4si and 5si
printers. If you do not have one of these printers, please first try using the printer driver
that corresponds to your printer. If that does not work, please try using a HP LaserJet III
or HP LaserJet IIIsi printer driver.

-Print Alignment Problem-

In version 4.2 of EDExpress, the left margin for the Award Letter, the Document Tracking
Letter, and the User Defined Letter, was modified to accommodate a window envelope,
per our user's request. The problem occurs in the document tracking letter when more
than one document is missing. The first requested document aligns correctly, however,
subsequent documents align 10 additional spaces to the left of the page margin. This
problem has been documented and will be corrected in a subsequent release of the
software.

If you have any questions, if you need a copy of the cover letter that accompanied
Version 4.0, or if you are still having difficulty printing, please contact CPS Customer
Service at 1-800-330-5947 or via email at CPS@NCS.COM.
