Recreation Input

The Upper Snake Field Office is launching a comprehensive review of its land use management direction for the area. Public input in this process is a critical component. Please provide your input regarding the current projects listed below. 

Recreation Input — At this time, in partnership with the University of Idaho, we are collecting information regarding visitor’s recreation activities, experiences and benefits via a website. To provide your input please click here

Wild and Scenic Rivers Input — At this time, in partnership with the University of Idaho and the University of Colorado, we are collecting information to help determine if segments of the South Fork of the Snake River, and/or the Teton River, and/or tributaries of the Teton River are suitable for inclusion in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Public Scoping Report

The Public Scoping Report includes a description of the scoping process and activities, a summary of the comments received, and an overview of the issues identified through review of all scoping comments. the report also includes the final planning criteria, which has been approved by the Idaho Falls District Manager.  These planning criteria will guide plan development by defining the "sideboards" for the planning effort.
