In the Spotlight

Murphy Complex and More workshop,
May 12-14, 2009 - Twin Falls
Participants will examine and share information on the many questions and issues associated with large wildland fires in Idaho.

Speakers will discuss lessons learned, ongoing research, and restoration and monitoring efforts.  Other topics will include fire suppression, vegetation rehabilitation, noxious weed control, seed mixes, planting methods, coordination and cooperation, and policy and management changes over the past few years.

A field tour will get participants out on the ground to see real-life application and results.  During workshop sessions participants can roll up their sleeves and put to use what they have learned.
