Member: Special Trustee's Advisory BoardRichard M. MilanovichRichard M. Milanovich has served as the Tribal Council Chairman of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians since 1984. From 1981 until becoming Chairman, he was Secretary of the Council. He started as a member of the Tribal Council in 1978. In 2004, Chairman Milanovich was appointed to the Native American Stewardship Committee for the prestigious Autry National Center. He has also served as a member of the Bureau of Land Management’s California Desert Advisory Council, and the Native American Heritage Commission. He also is a lifetime honorary member of the Desert Riders, the Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy, a founding member of the Santa Rosa Scenic Committee, and an appointed member to the National Monument Advisory Board for the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto National monument. The Chairman also represents the tribe as their voting member on the Coachella Valley Association of Governments Executive Committee. Chairman Milanovich served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. In 1994, he returned to school to fulfill a life-long ambition. He received a bachelor of science degree in business and management from the University of Redlands in 1996.
