As a Wisconsin business owner, you may be feeling overwhelmed by the number and complexity of rules and regulations in today's society. And you may be wearing many hats (accountant, environmental manager, CEO, etc.). The DNR hopes this interactive site simplifies and clarifies your environmental responsibilities.
The Permit Primer provides a step-by-step, question-and-answer tour of the DNR regulatory programs (listed in the left margin) to help you:
- determine which environmental requirements apply to you,
- determine what permits you need and how to get them, and
- find ways to save money and resources through pollution prevention, waste minimization, conservation and resource protection.
The Permit Primer does not address endangered species regulations. For information about endangered species in your area, use the Natural Heritage Inventory.
