December 7, 2005 Trinidad State Junior College 600 Prospect Street Trinidad, Colorado 81082 Attn: RuthAnn Woods, Interim President Dear Ms. Woods: In December 2003, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Trinidad State Junior College (TSJC) entered into a 2-year alliance for the purpose of supporting TSJC in its efforts to enhance the safety and health of workers in the southern region of Colorado (see attached). As we approach the anniversary, and expiration date, of our alliance it would be timely to summarize our efforts and to thank you and TSJC for your cooperation in this effort. Attached is the Annual Report for the first year of the Alliance (see attached). Second year activities included a Fall Protection Awareness Seminar and a Trench Safety Awareness held at TSJC last winter and spring, respectively. Both events were well attended and feedback was overwhelmingly positive. In summary, we feel that our enhanced relationship with TSJC, through implementation of the Alliance, has improved our efforts to ensure the best possible protection for workers in southern Colorado. Although this formal Alliance relationship is ending, we look forward to the opportunity to continue to support your efforts to provide quality occupational safety and health training and education to employers and employees in your area.
