AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING A TEEN SAFETY AND HEALTH ALLIANCE BETWEEN ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF LABOR U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR OSHA AREA OFFICE DIVISION OF SCIENCE, MATH, AVIATION, REGULATORY, AND TECHNOLOGY NORTHWEST ARKANSAS COMMUNITY COLLEGE |

PURPOSE The Arkansas Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (hereinafter, USDOL OSHA) Little Rock Area Office recognizes the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful Arkansas workplaces. The Arkansas Department of Labor and the USDOL OSHA LIttle Rock "Area Office hereby form an alliance with the Northwest Arkansas Community College (hereinafter, NWACC) to help provide safety and health assistance in the areas training resources and/or material that will help the employers of Northwest Arkansas protect employees' (teens) safety and health and that will help establish a safety culture. GOAL The Arkansas Department of Labor, USDOL OSHA Little Rock Area Office will assist NWACC to achieve the following training and educational goals:
Provide assistance for the delivery of specific training, programs or courses and Provide material and resources for the development of curriculum programs, and courses.
Provide speakers, trainers, or other assistance for safety conferences held at NWACC; Provide agreed upon train the trainer classes for Industry personnel and other interested parties; and Develop and implement specific projects on youth safety and health concerns as deemed necessary by the alliance group. An implementation team made up of representatives of all organizations involved in the Alliance will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the participants. In addition the parties will meet when deemed necessary to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. TERMINATION This agreement may be terminated by any party by providing thirty (30) days written notice of termination to the other parties. ENDORSEMENTS OSHA’s Alliances provide parties an opportunity to participate in a voluntary cooperative relationship with OSHA for purposes such as training and education, outreach and communication and promoting a national dialogue on workplace safety and health. These Alliances have proved to be valuable tools for both OSHA and its Alliance participants. By entering into an Alliance with a party, OSHA and the Arkansas Department of Labor are not endorsing any of that party’s products or services; nor does either agency enter into an Alliance with the purpose of promoting a particular party’s products or services. COSTS Each party to this agreement shall bear their own costs and utilize their own resources and property necessary to perform their respective duties and obligations. The parties shall not establish a joint budget nor shall they mutually, or in any way contract for services jointly by the parties in the performance of this agreement. ALL WRITINGS CONTAINED HEREIN This agreement contains all the terms and conditions agreed upon by the parties. No other understanding, oral or otherwise, regarding the subject matter of this agreement shall be deemed to exist :or to bind any of the parties hereto. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this agreement.
