AGREEMENT TO ESTABLISH AN ALLIANCE BETWEEN THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AMERICAN SOCIETY OF SAFETY ENGINEERS- MOBILE CHAPTER MOBILE UNITED AND MOBILE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING STUDENT AWARENESS OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH |

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the American Society of Safety Engineers – Mobile Chapter (ASSE-Mobile), Mobile United, and Mobile County Public Schools (MCPSS) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. OSHA, ASSE, MCPSS and Mobile United hereby form an Alliance to provide MCPSS, Mobile United employees and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources in order to help protect employees' health and safety, in particular youth workers, by addressing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), workplace violence, bloodborne pathogens, falls, chemical exposure, machine guarding, electrical, material handling hazards. In developing this Alliance, OSHA, ASSE, MCPSS and Mobile United recognize that OSHA's State Plan and Consultation Projects are an integral part of the OSHA national effort. OSHA, ASSE, MCPSS and Mobile United will work together to achieve the following training and education goals:
ASSE-Mobile is an independent organization and its actions with regard to this Alliance are not directed or in any way related to the national ASSE organization. Additionally, all education activities will be conducted under the direction and authority of MCPSS or OSHA. An implementation team made up of representatives of all organizations will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the participants. In addition, they will meet at least quarterly to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. This agreement will remain in effect for one year and will automatically be renewed annually thereafter. Signatory may terminate it for any reason at any time, provided they give 30 days written notice.
