IV. Results

As a result of the numerous implementation team meetings and an evaluation of the OSHA logs in which the leading causes of injuries to it’s members have been identified, the employers began implementing programs to address those hazards. Numerous other parameters have been evaluated, including but not limited to the type of injury, the time of year the injury occurred, the job classification of the employee injured, and the body part affected.

Type of Activity (Conference, Training, Print and Electronic Distribution, etc.) Number of Individuals Reached or Trained
OSHA Recordkeeping 15
OSHA/IQA Alliance Overview and Safety Committee Formation Presentation 50

V. Upcoming Milestones

It was recently identified during a meeting with the President of the Alliance that several of the members have left the organization. This has had an effect on this OSHA Alliance in that several of those employers (representatives) were active members of the Alliance Safety Steering Committee. The President has indicated that although membership has been halved, he and the current members wish to continue this OSHA Alliance and work on evaluating injury and illness data and to continue efforts in developing a written safety and health program.

It is strongly recommended that this Alliance continue to aid these employers in improving their safety and health programs and reduce their injuries.
