Annual Alliance Report

I. Alliance Background

Date Signed

Original: February 5, 2003
Renewed: February 10, 2005

Overview

The partners in this Alliance are made up various business and trade organizations. The list of organization that have signed this alliance is at the end of this document

The purpose of this New Jersey Statewide Alliance has been for the various organizations that signed the Alliance and OSHA to use their collective expertise to provide leadership, guidance, and a positive example to employers and help foster a culture of worker health and safety and accident prevention through a cooperative sharing of best practices and technical knowledge. This has been accomplished in two ways.

The first is the dissemination of OSHA information via e-mail through this Alliance. This has work very well as these organizations reach thousands of employers with their e-mail list. This has enabled OSHA to send out timely information on subjects such as new standards, LEPs/NEPs, upcoming OSHA seminars, and timely Safety and Health reminders such as Hurricane Preparedness.

The second way has been to hold specific subject seminars and conferences. These conferences/seminars were jointly arranged by OSHA and one or more of the NJICA organizations. The subjects were determined by the NJICA member organizations surveying their members on subjects they would be interested in.
