Latest update news

  1. May 6, 2009 — exporting all CSAs with fixed-length records, with area names inserted, bombed on one area. This has been fixed.
  2. April 29, 2009 — the export routine in the REIS was slightly modified for fixed-length records, and a section was added to the format file (caformat.txt) to describe the output of fixed-length records from the REIS software.
  3. April 27, 2009 — a problem was found in the Export routine; the last line in the table was not exported. This is now fixed. Also the installation package was changed to reduce the number of potential error messages from system software conflicts. If after a full installation the REIS software does not work, re-run the installation package and select the second option, "Extra system files that may be needed."
  4. New estimates for 2007 became available. The years 2005-2006 were revised from the previous release of April 2008. Population and per capita estimates were revised back to 2000.
  5. There were several changes to metropolitan area definitions.
  6. Installation errors— Users may receive errors when installing this product relating to access privileges. In most cases pressing the "Ignore" button will bypass the problem and allow for a successful installation.
