Afro-Colombian Housing Project in Tumaco
Through a joint project financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Tumaco Mayor’s Office, and the Colombian Government, one hundred and forty two Afro-Colombian displaced families and fifty others in vulnerable condition are now owners of new homes.

SALPICA Artists Visit Bogota
21 artists selected for the “SALPICA” visual arts exchange program visited Colombia on August 21st. These indigenous, Afro-Latino, and artists from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, and the U.S. are working together to create a traveling exhibition which will be displayed in Bogota in the summer of 2010.
