How can we let this happen in America? Fortunately, there are many efforts to fight poverty. One of the most successful over the past 40+ years is AmeriCorps VISTA. From America’s rural communities to our inner cities, VISTA volunteers are on the front lines fighting poverty with passion. They are teaching, feeding, inspiring, enriching. They are building, training, serving, reaching. They are making a difference, pulling people up and out of poverty. “VISTA: Fight Poverty with Passion” is a new recruitment and informational campaign that illustrates the continuing impact that VISTA volunteers are having across America every day—and the need for dedicated individuals at all stages of their adult lives to apply their passions and skills to help the neediest Americans break the cycle of poverty. Through new PSAs, print ads, and web banners, the campaign encourages more Americans—in particular minorities, recent college graduates, and baby boomers—to become AmeriCorps VISTA members. It also builds general awareness around the plight of the millions of Americans currently living in poverty. We encourage you to browse through the materials posted on this page and to pass along to others materials you think would be of interest to them. Together, we can spread the word about the important work that VISTA does in low-income communities and swell the ranks of those willing to “Fight Poverty With Passion.” Television and Radio PSAs, Print Ads, and LogosTelevision PSAs
